One of the biggest design questions people have when starting a kitchen remodel project is:  How big can I make my island counter top?  Keep in mind that not all slab sizes are created equal.  Granite slabs come in all different sizes.  Quartz products also come in different sizes.  Some quartz manufacturers also make jumbo slabs.  If you don't want to have a seam in your kitchen island counte rtop, you need to know what type of material you are using and what size the slabs come in before you decide how big your cabinet can be.  If you want to be able to use any color of any quartz your finished kitchen island should be more than 116" x 51" countertop size.  This will allow a 1-1/2" edge detail.  If you plan on having a larger edge detail, the finished top will need to be smaller.  Cambria quartz has many colors that come in jumbo slabs which allow for a larger counter top size without a seam.  Your finished counter top size can be no larger than 128" x 61" with an 1-1/2" edge detail.  Our showroom has samples of MANY different quartz products.  Come visit our showroom to see all of the color options and product options for your kitchen remodeling project.
